Woods Hole is the densest village in Falmouth and one of the most constrained places we work. It grew around its harbor and its institutions rather than around roads, and the result is a street pattern that predates the car and has never really made peace with it.
Working in a village with no room
Access is the single biggest factor in a Woods Hole estimate.
Many driveways here are short, walled or fenced on both sides, and reached by streets that a loaded truck cannot easily turn on. Ferry traffic does not help, and in season there are hours of the day when working is simply not sensible.
None of that makes a job impossible. It does mean we look at the approach before we look at the driveway, and it is why an estimate here can differ from one for an identical driveway two miles inland.
